Jetstar Hong Kong* will be a low fares carrier based in and operated from Hong Kong.
Jetstar Hong Kong plans to fly short haul services within five hours of Hong Kong to destinations across Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and the Greater China. It intends to operate a fleet of A320 aircraft configured for 180 passengers and is expected to grow to 18 aircraft.
Jetstar Hong Kong is a partnership between Shun Tak Holdings, China Eastern Airlines and Qantas Airways who own an equal third shareholding each.
The total capitalization of the carrier is up to HKD1,544.4 million (USD198 million).
The majority Hong Kong Board is led by Chairman Ms Pansy Ho, Managing Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, who brings local Hong Kong expertise and leadership to Jetstar Hong Kong based on Shun Tak’s decades of experience in regional transportation.
Jetstar Hong Kong is managed and controlled in Hong Kong. All major business decisions and strategies are made by the Jetstar Hong Kong board and airline management team in Hong Kong.
The Board is represented by over 70% of Hong Kong Permanent Residents.

The airline is led by Chief Executive Officer Edward Lau who has 30 plus years of aviation and logistics experience and is supported by a Hong Kong management team. Mr. Lau and his team report to the Board of Jetstar Hong Kong.
Jetstar Hong Kong’s headquarters overlook Hong Kong International Airport. Pilots, cabin crew and engineers will be based in Hong Kong.
