Domestic Passenger Service Facility Charge implemented at Okinawa

Domestic Passenger Service Facility Charge (PSFC) implemented to the passengers traveling from/to Okinawa/Naha (OKA) on 31MAR19 and beyond. PSFC is charged upon purchasing air ticket.

【PSFC】

Applicable from 31MAR19 for all domestic flights from/to OKA.

Okinawa / Naha Airport (OKA) Domestic terminal: Adult JPY120 | Child (2-11) JPY60

*Free of charge for infants who don’t occupy seat. Those who occupy seat need to pay Child PSFC.

*PSFC at OKA effective as of 15JAN19 booking.

*No PSFC charged to those who purchased ticket before 15JAN19, however PSFC must be paid when changing flights hereafter.

The Introduction of International Tourist Tax in Japan

Please be informed that International Tourist Tax will be introduced as follows.

Effective Date
Applicable to tickets purchased on/after January 7, 2019 (Mon) and for travel on/after January 7, 2019 (Mon).
*Collected upon purchasing along with fares upon purchasing.
*It is also applicable when a ticket purchased before the above effective date is changed on/after the effective date.

Tax Amount
International Departures: JPY1,000 (consumption tax not applicable) per passenger (same amount for Adult/Child)
*Transit passengers from international flight to international flight within 24 hours will be exempted from this tax when connection made in the same PNR.

Thank you for flying with Jetstar Pacific.

Jetstar Pacific has operated a regular flight route between Da Nang and Osaka since 1st September 2017. However, due to the change in strategy of Vietnam Airlines Group in which JPA is a member, Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will replace Jetstar Pacific on the route DAD = KIX in the long term. We would, therefore, like to inform that Jetstar Pacific will stop our operation on the route from 9th January 2019.

All passengers who have tickets on DAD-KIX-DAD flights operated by Jetstar Pacific on/after 9th January 2019 will be (1) transferred to the flights operated by VNA or (2) refunded in case of not taking the flights. Emails have sent directly to your registered email from our Call Center, therefore, please take necessary procedure written in the email accordingly.

As the result of DAD = KIX suspension, the schedule of HAN-KIX from 9 th Jan 2019 will be changed as follows: (flight schedules are written in local time)

Important notice for ‘Smart Bags’

Effective 15 Jan 2018, the handling procedure for baggage with built in USB port(s), electronic bag tags, weight scales – collectively known in the market as ‘Smart Bags’ – will be revised, in accordance to IATA guidelines.

Before checking-in, passengers must:

  • remove all batteries or power banks from all smart-style bags; and
  • carry all removed batteries or power banks in carry-on baggage only.

Baggage fitted with non-removable batteries or power banks are not permitted and will not be carried.

Re: Mandatory safety measures for check-in of portable electronic devices with built-in lithium ion batteries

As of 1 July 2017, the following measures should be taken to prevent portable electronic devices with built-in lithium ion batteries from igniting in the cargo space.

1. Please turn off the portable electronic device completely (sleep mode is not acceptable).

2. Please protect the portable electronic devices by packing carefully e.g. wrapped in clothing or in a strong suitcase etc., and take measures to prevent accidental operation and damage.

New circular notice from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on fastening seat belts while taxing

As of 14 Mar 2017, to comply with the new circular notice from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Japanese airlines are required to make sure all passengers have fastened their seat belt before block-out.

All passengers are kindly asked to take a seat and fasten seat belts immediately after boarding. Also, please refrain from using the lavatory during taxi.
